Navigating difficult stakeholders. Working with unclear expectations. Delivering commitments on time and within constraints. Defining what success means. You think I'm talking about UX? Welcome to my childhood. Growing up in the US as a child of immigrants inevitably led to my exposure to tricky cultural and social interactions that I had to navigate. Although those experiences were difficult, that exposure influenced my love of UX and helped me develop key skillsets that aligned with its core tenets of transparency, clarity, and empathy.
During this talk, I walked through my journey and shared insights on how designers who come from immigrant backgrounds "get the job done".
